Last Weekend

Just a note about the previous post: The Birds!!  Don't you just love our birds that sit upon our porch?  They welcome all our vistors to our home.  The kids call them Kevin 1 and Kevin 2 (from Up).  Actually I really think they are pretty tacky, but I don't have the heart to get rid of them.  They came with the house and the kids love them.  They usually take up domain in our front garden along with the bird bath (it's going to go eventually!) but since it's been SO DANG WINDY the Kevins keep blowing over so they now reside on the porch protected from the wind.  In case you were wondering.

Anyway...last weekend the kids and I went up north to hang with family.  We wanted to meet Baby Gideon and spend time with the rest of the gang.  Jacob and Susan were blessed with a sweet little one weighing in at only 5 lbs 10 oz.  He came home at about 5 lbs. 4 oz. but now three weeks later he's already up to 6 lbs.  He's doing great and he hardly ever crys, he eats great, and has the cutest little dimple.  Dallin and Kenzie were facinated by him and loved to look at him.  Dallin even held him but Kenzie wasn't interested.  It's so great to have a brand new little one in the family, so precious!

After visiting with the Foutz's we went to lunch with the Pratt's and Alleman's and headed to the Alleman house afterwards.  They have beautiful blooming "popcorn" trees all along their complex.  I love it!!  It reminds me of back east which I miss terribly.
