Snow Day

We had about a foot of snowfall overnight resulting in a snow day for the kids.  They were so EXCITED!! I'm happy that I don't have to drive in it and that our neighbor owns a snowblower.  Dallin and I shoveled the driveway just enough for Charlie to get out for work and that was enough for us!  We let our neighbor do the rest!  This snow is HEAVY!!  Happy Snow Day!

Kenzie is the snow lover in the family.  She was so excited to get out there and play in it.

Chewy doesn't like the snow much.  He's longing to play outside but realizes it's useless.  Poor puppy!

Goofing Around

I'm trying to get better at using my camera so I was just goofing around with the girls the other day and started snapping pictures of them at snack time.  I love some of these expressions I was lucky to capture.  Whenever there's food involved Chewy is sure to be there!  And this look on Gennie's face is so typical of Geneil.  I love the genuine smile on Alayna's face, it's so hard to get this smile from her when I pull out the camera!  It's a keeper for sure.  And the two girls hugging...can you get any cuter than that?  I hope and pray they are best of friends their whole lives! The look on Sadie's face cracks me up.  She looks like such a diva in this picture, like she's too cool to get her picture taken. Good times!

Lazy Dog

This about sums up our dog lately.  He's already getting so lazy!  Here he wants to be warm from the sun but only part of his body.  What a weirdo!!

Chewy Turned One

I didn't think we'd ever make it to this day.  I thought for sure he'd be gone from our lives by now.  But alas, here we are celebrating our puppy's first birthday.  I'm accepting the fact that he's part of our lives now.  He definitely has his place in our home.  Each family member gave him a doggie treat today and he got three new ropes to chew and destroy.  I'll be so happy when the puppy phase is over.  Happy Birthday, Chewy.  I guess I'm stuck with you.

Random Summer Fun

Occasionally I'll grab my phone to take a picture for a quick photo op.  The quality is never very good but at least I've captured the moment.  But most of the pictures on my phone were taken by the kids.  Sometimes...not usually...but sometimes they're worth keeping :)

We spent an afternoon at the Pueblo Zoo with our friend's the Larsen's. (gotta love the glasses, Dal)

While we were up in Denver last week we planned to go to our favorite water park, Pirate's Cove but believe it or not, it was too cold!  We've had some unseasonably cool weather this summer.  So we headed over to the APEX for some indoor water fun.

The kids all had a great time but Juju especially loved the water.  I love this picture for many reasons but mainly the uber-chubb billowing out of the swim diaper and the wrinkly raisin feet.  Love it!!

Later that evening Dad Pratt took us all out to dinner for his birthday at Ted's Montana.  We then let the kids play at the park to burn off some energy.  You can see...jackets were needed on July 25th! Crazy!

Four-Legged Furry Friend

Oh my oh my, what have we done?!  Yes, we have added a puppy to our family.  This is Chewy our little Yorkie.  He came to our family as an early birthday gift to Kenzie.  She loves little Chewy but I'm not so sure about this four-legged little thing.  This whole business of potty training is a ton harder than I thought.  At this point in time I am tolerating the dog and trying to enjoy it.  I wouldn't say I love him...at least not yet.  I'll admit he's cute but a bunch of work...it better be all worth it in about 6 months from now!
