Like Father, Like Son

In the past year Dallin has really started to idolize his father. He wants to please him so much (well, maybe not when it comes to picking up toys and putting pajamas on). He will draw pictures just for Charlie and gets so excited when he comes home from work and can show him the pictures he's drawn. They usually consist of some sort of battle or super hero. They love to play Plants vs. Zombies on the computer together as well as the latest toy...the iPod. Dallin loves watching Wipe Out with Charlie and they have fun kicking the soccer ball around in the back yard which usually turns into a wrestling match. Dallin especially loves when Charlie will sit down with him and make spaceships out of the Legos.

The other day Charlie got out his pen collection. (I challenged him to pair down his collection to just one box, which he couldn't, but that's besides the point.) Dallin was so excited and was right there to help him test out the pens to see if they still work. He even found a few for himself. He called himself the pen man. If anyone had a broken pen or needed a new one, he was there to fix their old one or get them a cool new one! He looks just like his dad at work, sans pocket protector. Did I say pocket protector? Yes, my husband (the nerd that he is) had added a pocket protector to his daily work ensemble. Come on, he is a pharmacist. So there you have it, like father, like son. Dallin loves his dad.
