I found a table cloth at Target on clearance for $5.00 in the perfect colors and fun whimsical print. I decided to use the table cloth as window treatments for both bathrooms. We still had the generic paper blinds in our bathroom and nothing in the other one! It was about time I did something. I was able to make the two sets in about 3 hours (over 2 days) thanks for my family being here to entertain the children while I worked.
Kenzie has about 5 blankets that she loves and Dallin has 1. He was feeling pretty deprived so I took him to the fabric store (funny story, I'll tell you later) to pick out some fabric for his very own blanket. We found this fun alien print and fuzzy soft green bumpy stuff. I started working on it and got it all cut and pinned it together when I got distracted (a common occurrence in our house) and so Ellen took over and sewed it together for me. Dallin hovered the entire time and was so excited to use it once it was finished. I think he really likes it!
Fabric Store Story:
I'm getting more brave about taking all three kids out. I really wanted to take the kids to the mall where our fabric store is (I know kinda weird to have a JoAnn Fabrics in the mall). So I had Alayna in the Snuglie carrier and I was holding Dallin's hand in one hand and Kenzie's in the other with the diaper bag strapped around me. I looked like I was ready for an overnight hiking trip. But not really thinking anything of it we trooped on into the mall with lots of pep talks (stay close, don't run off, if your good we'll get a gumball) prior to entrance. So we enter the store and instantly I get lots of looks. I was only semi-aware of the glares and glances my way at first. I didn't really think anything of it. The kids did really good!! Even when Kenzie had to wait to go to the bathroom until our number was called to get our fabric cut. It wasn't until we were in the check out line and an elderly lady approached me and said how lovely my children were and how well behaved they were when I realized how crazy I must look with all these kids and baggage. No wonder people were looking at me strange.

You are crazy! JK. Good thing your kids know who the boss is! That is why they are so well behaved! Good job sis on laying down the law so that your kids aren't little brats!
You are such a good Mom, I am not at all surprised that your outing was a success :)
Cute! Love the blanket! Looks so fun. Alayna is darling and I think she has a little different look with the dark hair from Kenzi & Dallin!
