It's hard to believe that we've only been working on this project since January. It seems like forever! What, it hasn't even been a year yet? I'm not complaining. I think it's pretty cool that we've been able to make such a change down there. We're hoping to get some carpet down in the next few weeks, cross your fingers!
This weekend our friend was able to finish assembling all the cabinets for the kitchenette and even hung them. We're waiting for the glue to dry on the peninsula and then he'll come back and finish it off. We'll have a sink in the middle of the bank of cabinets along the wall with a refrigerator to the left. The counter top on the peninsula has an overhang so we can put some stools at it. We will also have a pretty sweet light fixture that will hang over the peninsula. If all goes as planned we'll have the kitchen complete (except refrigerator) by next weekend. So exciting!
