Sick Baby = Busy Mama

I haven't had much time to blog lately and I'm missing it.  Little Alayna has been so terribly sick these past few days putting my life on hold.  She woke up Thursday night with a fever and then woke up on and off throughout night.  All day Friday I had to hold her in my arms every waking moment.  Luckily she took frequent naps but I still didn't get much done.  Thinking that whatever she had would eventually run it's course I opted to not take her to the doctors office.  Once Saturday afternoon rolled around and we still couldn't reduce her fever we decided to take her into the clinic.  Turns out she had an ear and eye infection.  After 24 hours on the antibiotic she was doing remarkably better.  However, she is also teething on top of all of this and so she's still not her old self yet.  Which means that mama is still not her usual self yet either.  Laundry is piling up, bathrooms are getting scummy, dishes are waiting to be unloaded from the dishwasher, essential things like eggs and cheese need to be purchased, floors need to be swept/mopped/vacuumed...you get my point.  I will say this, I am so glad that I am able to be home with her and be that comfort for her that she needs right now.  I'm happy to put all the boring tedious things aside for a few days if it means my baby will feel better.  Needless to say, I haven't had a chance to blog...I guess that's what I was getting at.

But don't give up on me yet!!  I have lots and lots of things...mostly pictures....to share with you.  Even though Alayna has taken up almost all of my time, I was able to get away for a few hours on Friday before Charlie had to go into work and take some pictures of some of my friends and their kids up in the mountains.  It was so much fun!!  Now I have the fun task of filtering through all of them (over 500 pics) and editing the good ones.

I also took tons of pictures at Dallin's last soccer game on Saturday.  So stay tuned, I promise I'll share with you what I've been up to.  Oh yeah, and also what Charlie's been up to as well :-)

Ugh, we know how THAT goes. Luckily you didn't have to wait until the clinic was closed and take her to the emergency room (live and learn :)
