Fourth Time Around

I thought I should document the exciting news in the Pratt family.  We are expecting our fourth child sometime the middle of January.  We are thrilled to be adding another little one to the clan.  And I am even more thrilled with the super easy pregnancy.  I had a rough 2 weeks or so in the beginning but from then on it's been a breeze.  It's been such a contrast from my last pregnancy with Alayna.  At times I wonder if I made a mistake and only dreamed the positive pregnancy test result, or perhaps (as horrible as this sounds) I've lost the baby because seriously I don't feel pregnant 90% of the time.  Then a certain smell will come along and make me want to throw up and I'll think, oh yeah I'm pregnant!  Or I'll hit a wall in the middle of the afternoon and all I'll want to do is lay down and take a nap, yes I'm definitely pregnant.  Sometimes, especially at night, I'll get a queasy tummy so I'll eat a few crackers and I'm better, another reminder that yes, I'm pregnant.  But gosh, I can't even complain, such minor little upsets.

I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and I got to see the little tiny heart beat and the peanut swimming around.  It was comforting to know the little person is normal so far.  Dallin is really hoping for a brother and Kenzie feels compassion towards Dallin and wants another brother too.  She says, "I really want Dallin to have a brother, so I hope it's a boy."  Charlie is convinced his genes will not allow him to create more than one boy, so he says it's a girl.  I on the other hand feel like this pregnancy is much more similar to Dallin's so I'm thinking boy.  But I guess only time will tell.  We will find out the sex of the baby sometime in September I would guess.
