Out and About

Look who's out and about!!  When we visited Dad Pratt over the weekend we got permission to take him for a walk outside.  He hadn't been outside in 3 weeks!!  I think he really appreciated breathing fresh air again.  I can only imagine!!  He is making great improvements in his mobility with his arms, able to feed himself and even scratch his nose.  It's the little things you take for granted.  We witnessed him get out of bed and scoot onto his wheelchair all by himself, which was a huge accomplishment.  The doctor gave him the ok to start putting weight on his left arm but not his right side yet, leg or arm.  The leg is starting to heal and growing new bone, the x-rays looked good but it will still be awhile before he can stand on it.  The best thing is that he's in such good spirits.  He's positive, happy, optimistic.  His nurses and trainers LOVE him and take such good care of him.  We hope he can stay where he's at for the duration and continue his steady improvement.
