New Year 2013

I'm not one for making resolutions, I usually never keep them if I try.  In the past I've come up with this great list of things I'm going to work on and need improving on and while I've had good intentions I just never seem to stick to them.

This year I decided to pick just one thing.  One thing that I feel I could realistically tackle.  I think the Spirit must have whispered the idea in my head because frankly I never thought of it as a problem nor did I ever think to change this particular attribute of mine.

So you all know how much I LOVE to SLEEP.  It doesn't matter when I go to bed at night, I never want to get up in the morning.  I love my nice cozy bed and the thought of starting the day just isn't as appealing as staying in my bed.  In my attempt to delay getting out of bed I always conjure up a token time, the time that I (if I have to) will get out of bed.  If for some reason I am awakened before this token time, WATCH OUT!  I'm grumpy and grouchy and pout about how early it is and how rude it is to wake me up and what's so important that you need to be waking me up from my slumber and you better have a good reason for getting me up....you get the idea.

Well, like I said earlier, the Spirit whispered to me that I need to change.  I need to be grateful for my children (they are 99% the culprits of my early mornings) and to greet them in the morning with a smile and with gratitude.  I'm realizing that life is too short.  You just never know when your life or the life of one of your children will end.  In addition, it's amazing how in just the past few days as I've implemented this new attitude how much better I feel about myself and my children.  It's always good to start off the day with a positive attitude and a smile.  Hopefully I can keep it up!

Here are the two little girls on New Year's Day.  Alayna is dancing to her fridge farm while she cleans and Millie is dancing along with Grandma's help.  Such cuties!
