Ok, so this picture captures Lulu on a regular basis. She has many toy phones she plays with throughout the day that she loves to call people on. Typically she calls Grandma, Grandpa, and Ellen. But lately it's been Uncle Jason. Here's a "conversation" she had with Jason the other day: "Haha...hi Jason! You get a new phone? Oh yeah? What color you get? Haha...oh OK Jason! You funny, Jason. Allllriiiighttttt! Bye Jason!!" I love that she had to keep saying his name and with her lisp it just accentuates it even more.
I took the little girls to the library and saw this really neat book tree. I thought it was a clever holiday display...had to snap a picture.
For FHE (family home evening) last week Dallin gave a really neat lesson on lightness and darkness. He came up with the idea on his own and taught the whole lesson on his own. I was really proud of him. He talked to us about how Satan is like darkness and if you follow him you'll get lost. Jesus is the light and you'll never get lost if you follow him. Then he turned off all the lights except for one flashlight and we all had to follow him around the house. Some of us got lost so we had to be rescued. It was a great lesson! Afterward the kids colored pictures for their Great-Grandparents while drinking some festive "negg-nog" (as Lulu likes to call it) and munching on gingerbread m&m's. I love moments like this when we are working together as a family and enjoying each other. Just prior to this, there was lots of yelling, crying, whining, and arguing going on. Thank goodness for FHE that brings us back together talking about things that matter most.
