My Getaway

Charlie had some vacation hours he needed to use or lose so he was able to use them in conjunction with his already four days off thus giving him six days off.  He was really nice and let me use his vacation days to take a trip to Utah with Sadie while he stayed home and took care of all the kids.  There was soccer practice, dentist appointments, school, church, and a soccer game to juggle all while I was gone.  And he did a great job.  I told him not to stress out about having the house all clean before I got back, I knew he was going to have enough on his plate I didn't want him to worry about that.  And so he didn't!!  I had lots of cleaning and laundry to do when I got back :-)

The trip ended up being really great.  I was able to meet up with some friends that had husbands in pharmacy school in VA at the same time.  They both live in UT now.  I also had a great time with my mom picking out material for Kenzie's baptism dress and sewing together.  We went to lunch with all of my sisters and had a GNO that was full of laughs and good times.  I took Dare's second birthday pictures.

Charlie's cousin Kaitlyn came home from her mission and was reporting the Sunday I was there so I was able to go to that and meet up with some of the Clark's of the family.  The Arave's were also there, which was nice to see them.  Sadie was a trooper and did well with all the traveling and being passed around to strangers.  She does ok but doesn't last long with other people holding her.

I'm so thankful that Charlie is such a great dad.  I didn't even hesitate to leave him with the kids, I know he's fully capable.  It's never easy being a single parent but he did just fine.  He even learned how to do ponytails in the girls' hair!!  Thanks, Char, for giving me some time off and letting me spend time with my family.

My dad is the best!  He let me sleep in, made b-fast, and
was off to the temple before I even came upstairs.

Grandma Clark and Sadie meet for the first time.

We went to the Payson Temple open house as well!
