Kenzie's report on our trip:
"Our trip to Utah was amazing! The only bad part was that we had to sit in the car for 9 hours! And that was just to get to Utah! We first went to Utah, then we went to Idaho. When we finaly got to Utah, we went to Aunt Carmen's houes. We stayed in there basement. One of the funnest things we did was go to "The Natural Curiosity Museom, for Kids" with Emma, Will, Coleson, and Grifin. There were 4 places you could go to. Kidopilis, Waterworks, an outside playground, and the Rainforest. Kidopilis is like a city for kids. It has a move theader were you can put on a show, a bank, a jail, a docters office, a music room, a library, and a whole bunch more. In Waterworks, there are pipe things that you can conect and they make a pipe that leads to the big puddel. They also show a thing were you press a button and it starts to get windy, then more windy, then more windy, then it was at the point were it almost blew my glasses off! There is also a thing that shows you a miny tornado. I's cool. The outside playground looks like a regular playground with a zipline. In the Rainforest, there is a market with play food and you can dress up and shop for food. In the jungle gym part there was this thing that is sort of like a spiderweb."
"Another fun thing that we did was rosting smors in the Idaho. In Idaho we got to stay in a cabin out in the woods. I was like camping! We had so much fun with Camy, Zach, Jake, Jyla, Gavin, Millie, Aunt Ellan, Uncle Jason, Aunt Emely, Aunt Martha, G-ma, and G-pa. IT. WAS. Amazing!!!!!"
"One of the things we did was flowt on a raft in the river. it was hard to paddel, and I got tierd so I just told people where to go and if we where going to run into any thing. It tolk about 2 to 3 hours, but we made it! We also got to decorat are own shirts. Mine had a flower, Dallin made his a gerse, Lulu's had a house, and Geny had a rainbow. In the backyard there was a hot tub, and you get to chang the tempitur you get to decide if you want the jets on or off."
"We also went to Yellostone. I saw so much buffalos. We also saw Old Fathfull. It shot up soooooo high! We also saw lots of other gizers. I had the best time ever in Utha, Idaho and Yellostone!"
I think she summed up our trip pretty good. I'll just add that while we were in Utah we also had a surprise 70th birthday party for Dad Foutz. Jacob happened to be in town for work and since we were all there (even though it was a month early) we decided to go ahead and surprise him. And sure enough, he was surprised! I thought he would have guessed we were up to something but since it was so early he had no suspicions. Spencer put together a cool slideshow with pictures of Dad and each of us said some kind words to him. In Utah we also visited the Aquarium, Sliver Lake, Temple Square including Music and the Spoken Word, the Conference Center, the Bailey's backyard, and Grandma Clark's funeral.
After our week in Utah we drove up to Idaho to spend some time with the Pratt family. Mom and Dad Pratt got a cabin just outside of Yellowstone where we saw some moose, shot guns, toured Yellowstone, rafted, spent time visiting, and hung out in the hot tub. The cousins had some great bonding time while the adults could talk forever! It was great fun.
