Here's What's Going On...

  • The kids found a spider crawling on the outside of the window that they watched for like an hour.  They named him Philly.
  • Dallin has started silly-talking in this really high pitched voice with his bottom lip curled down and Kenzie thinks it's hilarious and I think it's the most annoying thing in the world.
  • Kenzie likes to pretend to be a pink horse and when she neighs it sounds more like a moaning dead horse, it's pretty funny.
  • Dallin is SO EXCITED to start preschool, he wants to go TODAY!
  • The kids like to play "family" where Dallin is the dad and Kenzie is the mom and they gather all their stuffed animals and take care of them and occasionally they'll throw in a baby doll.  It's so cute to hear them interact as a pretend family.
  • I have been reading like crazy this summer.  Some good books and some just OK.  Charlie has been a good sport about it, allowing me to become consumed in my books while I tune out the world temporarily.
  • We've (individually or as a family) seen lots of good movies this summer including Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, Prince of Persia, Eclipse, Inception, Dinner for Schmucks, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (which was not a good movie but we suffered through it), and Return of the Titans (which again was not that great of a movie but it was ironic that we watched it and the Lightning Thief back to back which both have a lot of similarities).
  • My first time planting a garden this year turned out to be a big FLOP!  I started out with about 25 strawberry plants and now I have four lone survivors.  My peas all dried up, my broccoli got eaten by bugs, my beans might still have a little hope, my carrots never did anything (I was beginning to think I only dreamed that I planted them), my cucumber dried up as well, and of all the herbs I planted only the chives survived.  I will not give up though!
  • I am feeling so much better now!  The morning sickness is pretty much over, the tiredness has subsided considerably, and I'm actually starting to enjoy this pregnancy.  I can feel the baby moving and fluttering around now.  My ultrasound is scheduled for September 9, and yes we are going to find out what it is.
  • Charlie has been working really hard, putting in a lot of overtime.  They are revamping the whole process in the pharmacy and it's taken a lot of work to reorganize the shelves and train the employees on the new system.  He's had to fire two technicians, hire two new ones, all the while stay focused on his day to day job.  He's a good man and a hard worker!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! That always makes the world look better! I love how cute Kenzi is getting! Max will start pre-school again in September back in St. George. I'm using a cheaper one this year and much closer to home!
