Ultrasound

We had the ultrasound for our little one on Thursday.  What an awesome experience.  Our technician was WONDERFUL.  She did a great job at walking us through everything she was looking at and reassuring us that the baby was measuring normal and healthy, near as she could tell.  We joked and laughed when we saw the baby all folded up with baby's knees touching the forehead.  She got a really good look at the heart and all four chambers.  The head measured normal and we saw all the fingers and toes along with the profile with lips and eyelids.  She made sure there's no cleft pallet.

Then the moment of truth came and it was time to check out the gender.  At first she was about 90% sure it was a girl and then as she continued to search and move the baby around we all three agreed that indeed it is a girl!

It was just so funny because the little one was moving quite a bit but she wasn't moving in the right places or the right direction for very good pictures.  Either she was looking down at my spine so we could only see the back of her head or she would be hiding behind the placenta.  Hopefully this isn't a sign of stubbornness later on!  So because she wasn't cooperating too well our pictures aren't quite as clear as others I've seen but they are still precious.

We are so thankful that she is growing normal and everything is going good.  As we were driving to our appointment I was getting so nervous that something was wrong and that we would hear bad news, you just never know!  But how fortunate and blessed we are that she is looking healthy.  Hopefully it stays that way!

Charlie is already dreading the future of raising two daughters and paying for two weddings!  We are excited to have a little girl though, we just need to come up with a name!!
