27...28...29...THIRTY!

Turning thirty should have felt like a bigger deal than it was. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Perhaps I didn't make it more special. Charlie worked all day, however he made breakfast that morning and got me a few gifts which was really nice. But it was a little hard to relax and do birthday-ish things (whatever that means) with a newborn. She rules the roost around here.

However, there were some "exciting" things that happened on the 15th. First of all it was the warmest birthday I ever remember having. I think the temps got up into the low 60's! And because of that the girls and I were able to go for a walk and play at the park. Which was a first for me since having the baby. It felt so good to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. And a bonus on top of that we saw some friends at the park and were able to chat with and play with them.

Another "exciting" thing that happened on my birthday, I ran into the garage door! To make a long story short: the pull cord got caught in Dallin's door, the door released, fell about 3 feet as I was backing out, I hit the door, the wheel bent & came off track, Charlie fixed it the next day. No permanent damage to the car and only slight bumps and bruises to the garage door, scary none the less!

The last "exciting" thing that happened on by birthday, the kids got me a paper pickle! Charlie took them to the store to pick out a card for me. So they picked out this card in the shape of a huge pickle. Inside it read, I bet you didn't think you'd get a paper pickle for your birthday! True, so true!

Happy Birthday! Funny, I forgot how close in age we are, I turned 30 in November and it felt like...nothing :) Marty was at rotation all day and Ava and I did our normal routine. He did take more out and everything, but not a big deal compared to any other b-day.
