With the insulation up we had our final rough-in inspection and we were ready for drywall. Monday afternoon we had this big rig drive up to our house to deliver the drywall. It was so fun to watch them unload all the sheet rock off the truck and into the house. The kids and I were fascinated!!
Then today they came in by storm with a crew of 6 and went ballistic. Lots of noisy, stinky work going on down there. Men get really stinky when they work, especially when you have a basement full of them. Tomorrow they will be back in full swing at 7:00 AM. Alayna wasn't so excited about all the noise from the stinky basement (yes, I like the word stinky). But I don't care how stinky or loud they get...I'm just so happy to be getting this portion of the basement done and I'm even more ecstatic that I DON'T HAVE TO DO IT! So exciting!!
(all that racket better be worth it...it's making me go cross-eyed...as far as I'm concerned normal life is full of banging, hammering, screwing, sawing, and stinky men, at least that's all I've known in my short 4 months of existence....anyone have an Excedrin?)

How exciting! The basement looks great! Just think maybe all the noise will make Alayna a good sleeper? ;)
