Teeth

It's all about teeth in our house these days.  Dallin is losing some and growing others while Alayna is just  growing them.  It's been pretty dramatic either way.  Dallin discovered his loose tooth while eating a fruit leather at the Riverwalk about a month ago.  He babied it for a long time until it was just hanging by a thread.  I told him we needed to pull it or else he'd be eating something and accidentally swallow it.  But he refused and that's exactly what happened.  It was such a traumatic experience with lots of crying and some blood.  He was sad that he swallowed it and in some pain and scared because he was bleeding.  After awhile he was OK and we were able to laugh about it.

We decided to write the tooth fairy a note explaining what happened and he left that under his pillow.  Luckily she was very understanding and still left him a dollar under his pillow.

Then just a day or two later he was complaining about his mouth hurting.  This time it was his back molars, he's got a new one coming in back there.  And he has another loose tooth, right next to the one he just lost.  Poor guy!

Alayna is also growing some teeth.  She has her bottom two coming in as well as all four teeth on the top.  Her "fangs" are coming in faster than her middle two so she's looking kinda funny right now.  Hopefully those middle ones will come in fast!  We call her snaggle tooth!

Teeth...they're EVERYWHERE!
