Spring Break: New Mexico Day 2

Here they are all ready for a big day of adventure.

Mom has to get in on the fun too.

First stop, the Zoo in Albuquerque!  We were first greeted by the squawking flamingos.

The beautiful peacock who was putting on a show for everyone in the amphitheater.

Is is a seal or a sea lion, I always forget.

Lu Lu is waiting for the train to take us to the aquarium.

Here's the train!  All aboard.

The train takes you from the zoo to the botanical garden/aquarium.
A three mile trip that takes about 30 min.

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the ride.

Little Diva!

Dallin was determined to lead the way by following the map even though it was upside down and backwards!

Next stop, Aquarium.  First to greet us was the sting rays.

This guy decided to splash Kenzie with water!

Really cool jumbo tank with lots of beautiful fish.

Kenzie's favorite, the sea horse.

The shark tank!  The scary teeth shark is heading right for Dallin.
It looks as though he might want Dallin for lunch!

There he is showing off his intimidating teeth.

Playing in the water.

This is what a baby who is has been in her stroller all day looks like.

The entrance to the botanical gardens is guarded by this huge dragon.

Everything is jumbo sized like this giant pumpkin.

Dallin is leading us through the termite maze.

Kenzie is showing us how huge the ants were.

The giant dragonfly on the giant pumpkin.

Not sure what to call this other than beautiful, especially with the posing diva in pink.

A more serious side to the botanical gardens.  It smelled wonderful!

Checking out her favorite color.

Japanese garden

tons of huge coi fish

I love the "popcorn" tree.

The day warmed up and now it's time to head back to the zoo.  On the train again back to the zoo for more fun!

Layna's turn to go down the slide.  Ready...

Whoa!!

Plop!  There she landed with a thud.

Mama elephant with here baby.

The sign to the ape enclosure said, "Beware apes are known to throw objects!"

After much fun and adventure at the zoo we got a bite to eat then headed over to the Albuquerque Temple.

This proved to be Alayna's favorite part of the trip because she had the freedom to walk and explore.

He's lurking among the tulips.

It's not a white temple but rather brownish pinkish.

Very beauiful

Sisters walking hand in hand.
And that does it for day two of our trip.
