The kids didn't have school on Friday (teacher work day) so we decided to meet up with the Arvada folk in the Springs for a day at the park. Grandpa even came!! Alayna was SOOO excited to see "Papa". She was talking about it for two days, in her own little way, "broom-broom em em umm Papa em ummm broom-broom" and then she'd point out the window. To translate she was explaining how we were going to go in the car and see Grandpa. It was the sweetest thing, when she saw Grandpa she ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug and wouldn't let go. I think she melted Papa's heart just a little.
We had a really fun time playing at the park, splashing in the stream, and throwing rocks in the pond. Dallin and Gavin decided to get their feet (shoes and all) wet in the pond...well, not intentionally just got a little too close and slip there they went!
After a while we needed ice cream, it was a necessity! So we hit up McD's to satisfy our sweet tooth and then we went home. What a fun little outing!
