Big D Gets Bigger

Dallin turns 7 years old!!  My little boy isn't so little anymore.  He's losing teeth, riding bikes, growing out of his jeans, reading chapter books, and talking about girls.  What?!?  I know, it's impossible that I have a seven year old.  I am not aging one bit, it's just the kids!!

Dallin loves to watch football with his dad and has taken an interest in learning more about the sport and following some of the players.  He told Charlie one morning on the way to school that he really wanted a Bronco's jersey, he didn't even care if it was a player he didn't know, he just wanted one.  So we got him a Peyton Manning jersey for his birthday.  He was really excited about it.

He had totally outgrown his old bike and desperately needed a bigger one.  So we also got him a new bike for his birthday.  However, I think we went a little TOO big.  He has trouble reaching the handlebars and this new one has hand breaks which he'll need to get used to.  Hopefully we can make a few adjustments and make it fit him better.

Dal really wanted a birthday party this year but I made a rule that we only have big parties every other year, otherwise it makes Mom go crazy.  This was an odd year so we didn't throw a big party, we just invited a few friends over for Dallin's favorite dinner: pancakes!!  Later in the week (when Charlie wasn't working) we took him to his favorite place for dinner: IHOP....yup, more pancakes!!

We love you Dal and hope you had a great seventh birthday!!
