Pratt Park

We finally finished the playset. We started putting it together back in March but we kept getting sidetracked with other projects and then we were stumped with how we were going to finish the project...anyway it's finally done! Charlie was determined to work and not quite until it was completed.

As we were admiring the work we kept asking the kids, aren't you excited that it's done, doesn't it look good? And Kenzie says nope, it's not done there's still one more thing! The sand!!! She was right they were all out of play sand so we still have that little bit to finish but other than that we're happy to say it's done!

The double swing is great because the kids can both ride on it and they can push themselves. Kenzie loves it and could swing on that forever! It think the kids will have many hours of enjoyment on the new playset.
By the way, if you were wondering. Charlie got this idea to use AstroTurf under the swings and couldn't get the thought out of his mind even though I was opposed to it. So we ended up putting the AstroTurf just under the swings and then we spread rubber mulch over the rest of the area. I think I'll be sweeping the rubber mulch off the AstroTurf all summer long but oh well! The turf was cheaper than the mulch. It all worked out.

You have an amazing backyard! I am jealous. Way to go. I am sure the kids love it. Hopefully they can play for hours on end and give you some time to rest!
