Lake Isabel

We took Grandma and Grandpa up into the mountains for a picnic and walk around the lake.  It was a beautiful day and the leaves were just starting to turn.  We all had a great time.  I'd have to say, this is the one thing I could do every weekend.  I just love spending time up there and letting the kids be kids. It's so peaceful and refreshing.
We saw a tarantula crossing the highway on our way home so we turned around to check it out.  Dad was brave and picked it up with a stick.  It looked exactly like the one we saw on our house.  Creepy!
The setting sun to our backs was a perfect ending to a great outing.

I can't believe you have 3 kids - and they're so big!!!! I still remember when you announced to me that you were pregnant with your first???
I read the tarantula entry... yes, we have those around here too. One crawling on our driveway, 3 feet from me and the kids - Casey picked it up with a shovel and flung it far away from my view... it died shortly thereafter as it came in contact with a rock. Yikes. That's one less to worry about (shutter).

That was such a fun outing. We need to find our pictures of you and Kenzie climbing in that castle.
