On January 19 we celebrated Layna's birthday. It was such a beautiful day outside that Kenzie and I agreed it must be spent at the zoo. So after lunch we loaded up and headed to explore the animals. Alayna especially loved the penguins. She was having a grand 'ol time watching them swimming around and playing.
Once Charlie got home from work we were FINALLY able to let the festivities begin. First, she opened her presents. I think the two older ones were equally excited, if not more, to open up the gifts.
And then it was time for the official strip down for the devouring of the chocolate cupcake. It was pretty amazing how it was here one second and gone the next!
It was a fun day for our little Layna...and I mean literally little. We call her our runt, she's only 10% in weight and 20% in height. But she's such a fun, energetic, happy, goofy, silly little thing. She constantly makes us laugh and smile. She is such a joy to have in our family.
